About Me
I hold a Master's degree in English, a Postgraduate Diploma in English Communication, and the internationally recognised CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) qualification. These academic and professional credentials have provided me with a strong foundation in English language teaching and communicative methodology.
With over 24 years of teaching experience, including 18 years at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Oman, I have helped students develop the language skills needed for academic success and effective communication.
Throughout my career, I have specialised in communicative English, IELTS preparation, and academic writing. My teaching philosophy is simple: students should not only learn English accurately but also use it confidently in real-life and academic situations.
Most of my teaching experience has been with Arab learners, where I supported students in improving their writing, speaking, reading, and overall language proficiency. During my CELTA training in Thailand, I also gained valuable classroom experience teaching Thai learners, further strengthening my ability to adapt lessons to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
I believe that every learner has unique strengths and challenges. My lessons are therefore personalised, practical, and focused on helping students achieve their individual goals, whether they are preparing for the IELTS exam, pursuing higher education, or improving their English for professional success.
